PDSB Power Distribution Switching Box

The PDSB is an additional switchgear or distribution cabinet at the DC output of an I-TS or MI-TS system, used to connect multiple DC outputs in parallel or to switch a single DC output between different test benches. Gustav Klein offers over 50 variants tailored to power, current, voltage and switching requirements, including versions controlled by the customer's own test-bench automation.

Who Is the PDSB For?

Test engineers building multi-bench or parallel-operation DC test setups around one or more I-TS/MI-TS systems, where power needs to be distributed, switched between test benches, or combined safely in parallel.

Available Models & Accessories

PDSB variants range from simple fixed 1-input/1-output distribution to 4-input parallel switching with changeover contactors, at up to 1000 V and 2000 A; representative variants are shown below out of more than 50 available. The I-TS-Master-PDSB 3.0 safety controller is available for Performance Level d in parallel operation of two I-TS units.

From a simple 1-in/1-out box to 4-input parallel switching, the PDSB adapts to how the test bench is wired.

Doubles as the DCU mounting point

Several variants reserve space for up to 2 discharge units, keeping the discharge function in the same cabinet as the distribution hardware.

Performance Level d in parallel operation is a defined option

The I-TS-Master-PDSB 3.0 safety controller restores PLd when combining two I-TS units, rather than requiring a bespoke safety assessment.

Works with or without a dedicated controller

Variants are available with integrated control or with contactors and feedback wired to terminals for the customer's own test-bench automation.
