Asterion DC Half Rack Series
The Sorensen Asterion DC Half Rack (ASH) is a 1.7 kW programmable DC power supply in a 1U half rack chassis. With a voltage range of 40–600 V, single-phase AC input, touchscreen control, and standard LXI LAN/USB/RS-232 interfaces, it delivers full Asterion platform performance at half the rack width.

Sorensen Asterion DC Half Rack Series – 1.7 kW Programmable DC Power Supply
The Sorensen Asterion DC Half Rack Series (ASH) delivers industry-leading power density in a compact 1U half rack chassis — without compromising the precision and control that engineers rely on. With up to 1.7 kW output across a voltage range of 40 V to 600 V and current from 2.8 A to 42 A, the ASH is built for demanding test environments where rack space is at a premium.
Available in both fixed range and autoranging configurations, the ASH integrates seamlessly into existing Asterion workflows. The autoranging models follow a constant-power curve, providing a wider voltage and current operating range from a single unit — reducing the number of models required across varied test scenarios.
Control & Communication: The unit is DSP-controlled and can be operated via the intuitive front panel touchscreen with rotary encoder, or remotely through standard LXI LAN, USB, and RS-232 interfaces. Optional GPIB and EtherCAT are available for industrial automation and legacy ATE environments. Full remote control is supported through Asterion DC Virtual Panels — a graphical interface that replicates all front panel functions.
Rack Mounting: Two ASH units can be mounted side-by-side in a single 1U rack slot using the optional rackmount kit (5330809-01R), delivering 3.4 kW of independently controllable DC power in one rack unit. No 3-phase infrastructure required — the ASH runs on standard single-phase lab power.

Available Models
The ASH series is available in nine fixed range models (ASH 40-42 through ASH 600-2.8) and three autoranging models (ASH 60-42AR, ASH 200-17AR, ASH 400-6AR), all rated at 1,700 W output.
Accessories include a dual-unit rackmount kit (5330809-01R) and single-unit kit with blanking panel (5330809-02R). Optional certified calibration is available to ANSI Z540 and ISO 17025 standards.
