CP Series Current Probes

The Teledyne LeCroy CP Series offers a versatile range of current probes designed for high-precision AC, DC, and impulse current measurements. These probes eliminate the need to break a circuit or insert a shunt, making them ideal for testing switching power supplies, motor drives, and electric vehicles. With models spanning from 30 A to 1000 A rms, the series provides the flexibility needed for both low-power electronics and heavy-duty industrial power applications. Built on a combination of Hall effect and transformer technology, these probes deliver reliable performance across a wide frequency spectrum. The integrated ProBus interface allows the oscilloscope to provide power directly to the probe, removing the requirement for external power supplies. This hardware integration also enables automatic waveform scaling in Amperes and allows users to perform Degauss and Autozero functions directly from the instrument's touch screen interface. The series includes specialized options such as the CP031A for high-sensitivity measurements and the CP1000 for high-current loads up to 1400 A peak. For users with unique requirements, the CA10 programmable adapter can incorporate third-party sensors into the ProBus environment, allowing them to be recognized as native Teledyne LeCroy probes. Additionally, the DCS025 deskew calibration source is available to ensure precise alignment between voltage and current signals for accurate power analysis.

Current Sensor Adapter
The CA10 is a programmable and customizable interface device that seamlessly incorporates third party current transducers/transformers with Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes or motor drive analyzers. The easy to use interface provides the ability for the CA10 to be programmed to contain the specifications of the current sensor allowing it to automatically correct for the gain or attenuation and display results in Ampere units. This allows the third party device to be recognized and operate as if it were a Teledyne LeCroy probe.
