XFR Series — Programmable Analog DC Power Supply (2.8 kW)
The Sorensen XFR Series is a 2,800 W programmable analog DC power supply in a 2U 19-inch full-rack chassis, available in 10 models covering voltages from 7 V to 600 V. Using zero-voltage soft-switching technology, the XFR delivers linear-level noise performance combined with the efficiency of a switching supply.

The XFR Series occupies a unique niche as a high-power analog-controlled DC supply that provides performance approaching that of a linear supply but in a switch-mode package. Zero-voltage switching eliminates the high dV/dt transients found in conventional hard-switching topologies, resulting in output noise levels significantly lower than standard switch-mode supplies. This makes the XFR ideal for sensitive applications such as magnet power supplies, precision electroplating and sensor characterisation where output cleanliness is critical. The ability to stack multiple units without airspace between them makes efficient use of rack space in high-density systems.
