Asterion DC Series — Programmable DC Power Supply
The Sorensen Asterion DC Series is a modern, single-output programmable DC power supply platform available in 1U and 2U rack-mount chassis, covering output power from 1.7 kW to 10 kW. The series offers both fixed-range and autoranging (AR) variants — AR models deliver extended current at reduced voltages while maintaining full rated power.

The Asterion DC Series represents AMETEK's latest generation of single-output programmable DC supplies for R&D, production test and industrial applications. Fixed-range models provide predictable rectangular V-I boundaries for straightforward supply replacement. The autoranging models are particularly valuable where a single unit must cover a wide test matrix: as the programmed output voltage decreases below the rated voltage, available current increases proportionally, keeping total power constant. This eliminates the need for multiple supply models across a test program. The Asterion DC platform shares the same touchscreen HMI, Virtual Panels software and digital interface architecture as the Asterion AC family, enabling consistent operation across mixed AC/DC test benches.
