CDG Series Close Proximity Radiated fields Testers
This complete Schlöder test system addresses the newest medical EMC requirement — immunity to magnetic fields in close proximity — introduced in IEC 60601-1-2 Ed. 4.1 via IEC 61000-4-39. Built around the CDG 7000-75-10 RF generator/amplifier and HELIA 7-MGA software, it tests at the standard’s key frequencies (30 kHz, 134.2 kHz, 13.56 MHz) using dedicated radiating loops, matching networks, and sensors for full frequency coverage from 9 kHz to 26 MHz.
Key Features
- Compliant with IEC 60601-1-2 Ed. 4.1 and IEC 61000-4-39
- Built on the CDG 7000-75-10 (10 kHz – 250 MHz, 75 W)
- Covers key close-proximity test frequencies: 30 kHz, 134.2 kHz, 13.56 MHz
- Complete sets for 9 kHz–150 kHz and 150 kHz–26 MHz ranges

| CDG 7000-75-10 | Conducted RF generator, acc. to IEC/EN 60601-1-2 Ed. 4.1 10kHz – 250 MHz, amplifier 75W, Built-in directional coupler with Software HELIA 7 – Basic USB, LAN |
| Option | Description |
| PreAmp | Preamplifier together with a new CDG 7000-75-10, required for tests according to IEC 61000-4-39 (sensor coil LS_040_1 provides too low an output level for the CDG 7000 for the lowest standard levels at low frequencies) |
| Set 9kHz-150kHz | Coil set RL-120 & LS-040 (incl. stand and matching network) for tests according to IEC 60601-1-2 Ed. 4.1 (30 kHz, 134.2 kHz) and IEC 61000-4-39 (9kHz to 150kHz) |
| Set 150kHz-26MHz | Coil set RL-100-3 & LS-040-1 (incl. stand and matching network) for tests according to IEC 61000-4-39 (150 kHz to 26 MHz) and IEC 60601-1-2 (13.56 MHz) |
| Set 150kHz-26MHz | Coil set RL-100-3 & LS-040-1 (incl. stand and matching network) for tests according to IEC 61000-4-39 (150 kHz to 26 MHz) |
| Set 150kHz-26MHz | Coil set RL-100-3 & LS-040-1 (incl. stand and matching network) for tests according to IEC 60601-1-2 (13.56 MHz) |
| Upgrade 9kHz-150kHz | Stand and matching network for coil set RL-120 & LS-040 for tests according to IEC 61000-4-39 (9kHz to 150kHz) |
| Capacitor 1/2W 134,2 kHz -1-2 | Capacitor in housing (resonance matching) for RL-120 with matching network. When testing for IEC 60601-1-2: 134.2 kHz, 65 A/m, the required power can be halved from 46.3dBm/43W to 43.1dBm/20W with the optional resonance matching. |
The Schlöder CDG 7000-75-10 close-proximity radiated field test system provides a complete, ready-to-use solution for the newest medical EMC immunity requirement — close-proximity magnetic field immunity — as defined in IEC 60601-1-2 Ed. 4.1 and the referenced IEC 61000-4-39 standard. This requirement, introduced to address the real-world electromagnetic environment created by wireless charging, RFID readers, and similar proximity devices, must be addressed by medical device manufacturers targeting the latest edition of the medical EMC standard.
The system is built around the CDG 7000-75-10 RF generator/amplifier (10 kHz–250 MHz, 75 W) and HELIA 7-MGA control software, with dedicated coil sets covering the two key frequency ranges: 9 kHz–150 kHz (coil set RL-120 & LS-040 with matching network) and 150 kHz–26 MHz (coil set RL-100-3 & LS-040-1 with matching network). Together, these cover the standard's three critical test frequencies: 30 kHz, 134.2 kHz, and 13.56 MHz.
An optional resonance-matching capacitor for the 134.2 kHz test point halves the required amplifier power from approximately 43 W to 20 W — a significant practical benefit. The same hardware setup also supports MIL-STD-461 RS101 magnetic field susceptibility testing, extending the utility of the investment.
