CDN BCI Bulk Current Injection probes

Schlöder GmbH

Schlöder CDG CMP series current monitoring probes measure RF current levels in cables and harnesses during bulk current injection (BCI) testing, enabling closed-loop level control per IEC 61000-4-6, ISO 11452-4, and MIL-STD-461 CS114. Available in foldable (CMP-45) and non-foldable (CMP-46) versions for cables up to 45–46 mm diameter, with insertion impedance below 2.5 Ω and frequency coverage from 10 kHz to 400 MHz.

Key Features

  • Frequency range 10 kHz – 400 MHz
  • Foldable (CMP-45) and non-foldable (CMP-46) versions
  • Cable diameter up to 45 mm (CMP-45) or 46 mm (CMP-46)
  • Insertion impedance below 2.5 Ω
  • Calibration sets available for both models
  • Compatible with CDG 7000 and BCI-P1 test setups

Schlöder CDG CMP series current monitoring probes are used alongside the BCI-P1 injection probe to monitor the RF current injected into the cable under test during bulk current injection immunity testing. By measuring the induced current level in real time, they enable the closed-loop feedback control required by IEC 61000-4-6, ISO 11452-4, and MIL-STD-461 CS114 for accurate, repeatable BCI test levels.

The CMP-45 is a foldable probe suitable for cables up to 45 mm in diameter, making it easy to install and remove from a cable harness without disconnecting connectors. The CMP-46 is a non-foldable variant for cables up to 46 mm. Both probes cover the frequency range from 10 kHz to 400 MHz with an insertion impedance below 2.5 Ω, minimising the effect of the monitoring probe on the test circuit.

Calibration sets (CDG A CMP-45 and CDG A CMP-46) are available for both models, providing the factory-calibrated reference data needed for accredited test laboratory use.

10 kHz to 400 MHz

Wide frequency coverage for RF current monitoring across all BCI immunity test standards.

Below 2.5 Ω insertion impedance

Low insertion impedance minimises probe influence on the BCI test circuit and measurement.

Foldable & non-foldable

CMP-45 foldable and CMP-46 non-foldable versions for different cable harness configurations.

Calibration sets available

Factory calibration sets for both CMP-45 and CMP-46 support accredited laboratory use.
